Glaswegians have been looking out their skates and taking to the ice in the city centre, as the annual Winterfest celebrations gets into full swing. The outdoor ice rink forms the centre-piece of George Square’s festive display, which was unveiled just over a week ago with the Christmas lights switch-on and a spectacular fireworks display over the City Chambers. Glasgow On Ice opened on Saturday and will run until January 3. It is open seven days a week from 10am-10pm, although school groups have reserved the rink for morning skating lessons until December 18. Visitors to George Square can also enjoy hot drinks, food, fairground stalls and rides and free entertainment every evening on the Big Stage.

An evening with Jukebox Gypsy and Billy Liar!!!
The Argyll Hotel is playing host to a wonderful evening of folk music and we are proud to announce that Jukebox Gypsy and Billy Liar will be playing on Friday the 4th of December with free entry for all.
This evening wil be a showcase of local talent and will hopefully be the start of many to come!
