WORLD famous singer and musician Adnan Sami is returning to the UK after three long years.
He will be performing in London with his full live orchestra at the Wembley Arena on 18 and 19 October, at the Nottingham Arena on the 11 October and at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow on 14 October.
Bollywood icon Adnan, who shot to fame with his debut album, Kabhi to Nazar Milao, says his hands are full with a number of projects.
"I am doing a track with Pandit Jasraj. He will be singing one of my romantic fusions of Vikram Bhatt's film 1920. Shubha Mudgal and Parveen Sultana will also feature in the album and I'm also working with Jermaine Jackson on a music album. It will blend different music styles from pop, rap and techno to Indian and Arabian styles of music."
In the last couple of years he has lost about 130 kg of weight and no doubt there were lots of speculation about his inspiration. However, he says it's his parents who motivated him. "My dad once told me – No father would like to attend his son's funeral and so please don't do this to me. These words were enough to jolt me," he says when asked for his motivation to lose weight.
Adnan is one of the most talented musicians to come out of the UK, with the huge success of his musical videos, performed together with such iconic stars including Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerjee to name a few, Adnan has reached extreme heights of accomplishment.
As an accomplished concert pianist and composer, his career has ranged from classical to jazz and to modern pop-rock - western and Indian.
He graduated from the University of London and developed his musical style and technique on the piano and thus evolving a new sound which he pioneered and ultimately introduced to the world, becoming the first person to play Indian Classical music on the electric piano.
The famous American magazine, Keyboard declared him the 'Keyboard Discovery of the 90s' after reviewing a piano solo performance Adnan had given on Channel 4 in the UK.
Adnan is also popularly referred to as the fastest keyboard player in the world, this observation was first made by Swedish Radio and Television Broadcasting.
Adnan was featured in a documentary commissioned by the Foreign and Common Wealth Office of Great Britain as being amongst the ten most famous names from the sub-continent of India and Pakistan, who have influenced the Asian culture in the UK over the last 50 years.
He has also won many international awards including MTV's 'Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award' in 2001, the 'Nigar Award', 'Bolan Academy Award' and the 'Graduate Award.'
As a recording artist, stage and television performer, Adnan Sami Khan, at the age of 34 has worked in various parts of the world including USA, London, Sweden, Spain, Pakistan and India. His vocal albums have consistently been big sellers, each album, crossing the million mark in sales. His energy on stage as well as the music videos is a delight for audiences and viewers of all ages.
For his UK tour Adnan Sami will be accompanied by co-artists such as Monali Thakur a singer who rose to popularity around the world after placing ninth in Indian Idol 2, the Indian version of Pop Idol.
Javed Ali' is an Indian playback singer. He has been singing in Hindi movies from 2000 but shot to fame in 2007 when he sang the song Ek Din Teri Raahon Mein from the movie Naqaab and thereafter another hit like Jashn-E-Bahaara from the movie Jodhaa Akbar, whose music is directed by A R Rahman.
Hot item girl Rachna Maurya who popped many eyes with her raunchy acts in songs like ‘Deedar De’ (Dus) and music videos of Himesh Reshammiya and Rahul Sharma. The item girl gave us more than we bargained for once again. This time it was at Sukhbir’s ‘Tere Naal Nachna’ music launch. Rachana Maurya is an Indian girl who is known for her sexy dance moves in music videos.
The show will also host eight other professional Bollywood dancers who will be dazzling the audience with their fantastic dances. Furthermore, the King of comedy V.I.P , who participates in comedy circus will be humouring the audience with his comedy through out the show.
The organisers of the concert Vijay Bhola, Ashok Gadher and Jujar Singh of Safenote Ltd said: "Due to huge public demand we have announced two back to back shows at the same time."
