Building on Burns life with light and sound spectacular

The life and times of Scotland’s national bard Robert Burns will be projected on the front of Glasgow City Chambers this weekend as part of the Homecoming Scotland celebrations to mark the 250th anniversary of the poet’s birth. The 15 minute projection of moving images will be shown with accompanying music and a narrative soundtrack on the facade of the City Chambers in George Square between 5.30pm and 9pm today and tomorrow. The projection will also be shown from 6.05pm on Sunday when a host of performers including the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Michelle McManus, country dancers and a pipe band are scheduled to take part in an event at George Square hosted by comedian Andy Cameron
