The Conference
The BDA are pleased to announce that the 2009 British Dental Conference and Exhibition will be held from 4 to 6 June 2009 at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow. The Conference programme will encourage and inspire all members of the dental team to realise their full potential.
Based on the theme ‘securing your future: realising your potential’, the Conference programme in 2009 will feature motivational, expert speakers who will inspire you to develop new ideas and grow your career. Charan Gill - Keynote speaker Inspirational entrepreneur Charan Gill MBE, the man behind the Harlequin Leisure Group, will be the keynote speaker. He developed the largest Indian restaurant in the UK and built a reputation as Glasgow’s “Curry King”. Cherilyn Sheets - Main clinical speakerClinician, educator, author and lecturer Dr Cherilyn Sheets will be presenting a day-long lecture on Friday 5 June 2009 looking at “Meeting the demands of today's aesthetic restorative practice”. Dr Sheets has a private practice in California and specialises in aesthetic rehabilitative dentistry and implants. She is also Clinical Professor of Restorative Dentistry, USC School of Dentistry, Los Angeles and co-executive director of the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute, an international non-profit teaching and research centre; considered to be one of the finest microsurgical training centres in the world. Career and business development seminarsThere will be a range of sessions focusing on; career paths, setting up in practice, and business planning. If you are thinking of diversifying into areas such as botox, whitening, smoking cessation and implants, the business development streams will help you explore opportunities in these areas. Clinical seminarsYou will also have the chance to attend a wide variety of clinical presentations covering topics such as; management of failures, veneers, periodontology, caries detection and diagnosis, plus much, much more. Social programmeTo continue the event throughout the full three days we have an extensive and enjoyable social programme organised. After experiencing the dynamic conference programme and vibrant exhibition, delegates will be able to enjoy the Exhibition hall drinks on the opening evening of the event, followed by the ever popular Friday night party, guaranteed to be the "must attend event" of the programme. The Exhibition
Running alongside the comprehensive conference programme will be the popular exhibition, which is set to be our largest yet. You can meet suppliers, pick up samples and learn about new products and services. The 2009 exhibition will take place in the Scotish Exhibition and Conference Centre's largest hall, Hall 4. This is set to be our biggest Exhibition to date and with increased numbers of delegates attending year on year we anticipate this year to be buzzing full of excitement. The exhibition hall will contain a variety of caterng points, feature areas, exhibition hall seminars and an internet cafe.
